Joshua found the sweetest, little, fledgling mockingbird in our side yard tonight. Unfortunately, he cannot fly yet. His parents were nowhere to be found. We googled for a solution and found a local couple who take in orphaned and injured birds. Should you ever find yourself in this same situation, we found help through the Arizona Game and Fish Department. They recommended that the first thing that we do is move it into a box and cover the box with a dry cloth. Then, move the box to a safe place, such as a garage. Safe meaning out of the way of predators, out of the sun, etc. You aren't supposed to give it any food or water. And finally, it is important that they stay warm (not a a problem during the summer in AZ!).
