Steele Indian School Park

This park is a community treasure. It is near downtown Phoenix and always a joy to visit. Joshua and I took Halo on a walk there tonight.

Disney on Ice

My aunt's birthday recently passed. She loves ice skating. So I conspired with my cousin to get tickets for Disney on Ice. The show was adorable. Joshua and I are hoping to start a family any time now and seeing all of those little ones, including my cousin's two year old, left me feeling oh so jealous. The show was really entertaining. Even the grown man behind us was singing along to his heart's content, which I admit made us chuckle a few times.

Hong Kong Orchid Obsession

Yes, I'm obsessed. I love our two orchid trees. I can't get enough of them. They smell great. And they continue to bloom in full force. The other day, I found myself wishing that there was hammock under one of the trees. The next thing I knew I had talked myself into lying right down in the grass under that tree. It was so nice and cool watching the clouds pass over me.  When is the last time that you took time to just look at clouds? It had been awhile for me. Josh and Halo were a little confused as to what I might be doing. Halo thought for sure that I was trying to play. Joshua was worried that I had hurt myself. Nope, just wanted to look up at my favorite tree and enjoy the moment.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

Life has been incredibly busy this Spring and I haven't had a spare moment to blog. I'm thankful on this holiday weekend for extra time. I finished my homework early and have been enjoying spending time with family, friends and my husband. Yay!

Today, I pulled out our wedding present from Jessica and David and attempted to decorate my first cake. It was quite the messy but fun experience. I am quite positive that this hobby might require more patience than I have. But, it was certainly fun giving it a try. Thanks Jess and David!!!

Mostly, we have been spending a lot of time outside...yardwork, lounging and dog walking. Marietta marveled at our Hong Kong Orchid trees yesterday when she came over for a barbecue. They provide endless amazement for me. So beautiful!!!

Halo continues to work on his manners. He is naughty from time to time. He especially enjoys torturing us by ripping things up in the backyard. As pictured above, he started to tear his bed apart when we chose to go to a family dinner on Friday night rather than walk him. Having said that, we HAVE seen a vast improvement over the past few months, but it takes a lot of time and patience. I take pride in the fact that everyone who meets him, loves him, and comments on what a good dog he will be once he is out of his puppy stage. I agree. He has such a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky personality.
