Arizona State Capitol Building

Josh and I headed down to the Arizona State Capitol Building yesterday in hopes of seeing one of the 26 copies of the Declaration of Independence that is on tour.  No such luck.  The line was already closed when we arrived.  We were a little bummed to say the least.  Josh has spent quite a few days down in this area.  He was an intern in the Governor Janet Napolitano's office while getting his Masters in Social Work from ASU.  He worked in the tall building behind the Capitol in the photo above.  He also heads down here for his current job with Children's Action Alliance to attend rallies or listen in on House or Senate legislation.  You can see those buildings to the right and the left of the Capitol building.  I've only driven by. The Capitol is a big, beautiful building with a big copper dome on top.  One of these days I'll get back there again to look through the museum.  We took a short walk around the grounds and looked at the memorials.  It was a gorgeous day yesterday.  It rained in the morning and the evening, but was just right when we were out and about.
